Top client is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist in the Hillside, Il area. Great opportunity 

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and other machining equipment, to manufacture large parts according to specifications.

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.

• Program and adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds for optimal performance.

• Conduct precision measurements using various tools and gauges to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to ensure their efficient operation.

• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve technical issues.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Train and mentor junior machinists, providing guidance and sharing best practices.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a machinist in a job shop or similar manufacturing environment, focusing on large-part machining.

• Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including programming and setup.

• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Proficient in using precision measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Solid understanding of machining principles and cutting parameters.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
